Doctoral Defence of Corinna Casi:
“Decolonizing Environmental Discourses:
Challenging Environmental Values
through Indigenous Ecological Knowledge”
held by the Faculty of Social Sciences (Disciplines of Practical Philosophy)
took place on Friday 24th May 2024 at 12:00 p.m. (midday, Finnish time)
at University of Helsinki (Central campus).
Dr. Anna Deplazes Zemp (University of Zurich, Switzerland) was the opponent and Professor Antti Kauppinen the custos.
The thesis was supervised by Dr. Simo Kyllönen (University of Helsinki) and Dr. Markku Oksanen (University of Eastern Finland).

Doctoral Defence of Emmanuel Salami:
“Artificial Intelligence: the end of Legal Protection of Personal Data and Intellectual Property?
Research on the countering effects of data protection and
IPR on the regulation of Artificial Intelligence systems”
was publicly defended Friday 12 January 2024 from 12 noon in lecture hall C147, University of Lapland . The opponent was Professor Burkhard Schafer (Edinburgh Law School), and the Custos was Professor Rosa Maria Ballardini (University of Lapland).
